Medicare & Mental Health Care Plans
With a valid Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates on up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year. The plan can’t be backdated, so see your doctor before your first appointment, and bring your referral and Medicare card.
Private insurance
Depending on your health insurer and level of cover, you may be eligible for a rebate through your Extras. It’s worth checking your policy — note you can’t claim a private rebate and a Medicare rebate on the same session.
ADHD assessments
You don’t need a GP referral for an ADHD assessment. If you have one, forward it to reception before your appointment — some parts of the process may be eligible for Medicare rebates.
Cancellation & rescheduling
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice incur a 50% fee, and missed appointments without notice are charged the full fee.
